Revival Meetings

Our Revival speak will be Rev. Dr. Ralph Carter, Jr.  He grew up in many cities being raised in a military family, finally settling down in Anderson, SC.  He attended Anderson University and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University.  He then enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree.  Later, Ralph entered Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree.  He pastored Western Avenue Baptist Church in Statesville, NC for 15 years.  Feeling led by God, Ralph accepted the call of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, SC, to be their pastor, serving faithfully for 25 years, retiring February 2017.  During his ministry, Ralph served on the Board of Trustees at Anderson University, North Greenville University, and the Baptist Courier.  He served as President of the SC Baptist Pastor’s Conference in 2005.  Ralph recently served South Carolina Baptists as their president in 2013.   Reflecting on his long, faithful ministry, he wrote the book, “You Make the Call: Choices that Make or Break Us” in 2015.

            Ralph and his dedicated wife, Regina, have two children, Angela and Matthew.  He is also the proud grandfather of the joys of his life,  Scout, 12, and Charlie, 2 weeks old.  He is a man who loves God’s word, preaches God’s word, and lives out God’s word before men.  We are truly privileged to have such a man of God to come and lead us in revival.
